Format for a small project - should I go DNxHD 185?

Hello, I'm about to edit ashort doc - maybe 20hrs of rushes max.  (An additional hr of it will come in at Proress444...)

I was thinking of ingesting it all at DNXxHD 185 rather than a low-res offline quaility...  Can anyone advise if a decent tower / laptop will cope ok?

I figured if MC struggles, with it I could always swich the tiney resoution icon (What ever its name is) to half or full yellow.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Will

It depends what you mean by "decent".  On my i7 4790 @ 3.60 GHz / 32 GB RAM/ Quadro K2200 I have absolutely no trouble with DNxHD 185 at full resolution.

    MC 7.0.4 - Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo - Intel i7 920 2.66GHz - Windows 7 Ult64 SP1 - nVidia Quadro FX 1800 - 16 Gbyte low latency DDR3 RAM - Internal 8 Tb... [view my complete system specs]
