    .mxf-Files cannot be opened in Avid Media Composer 2018.2

    Dear Media Composer Community,

    right now I have problems opening .mxf-wrapped XDCAM HD-files in Avid Media Composer 2018.2. Linking/Importing doesn't work , as well as copying the files (including .aaf and .xml-files) into the AvidMediaFiles/MXF/1-folder. No .mdb or .pmr-file is created.

    The error message when trying to link is "The file [...] cannot be linked. Do you want to import it?".
    When I try to import the error message is: "You cannot import this file into a bin. See the documentation about transferring media files." and "The file [...] is unknown file."

    Can anybody help?

    Several mxf issues were reolved in 2018.5 and higher....  can you upgrade?
