    High energy usage of Avid

Hi, everyone! I can't solve the problem - Avid Media Composer consume more energy. I often edit videos on MacBook Pro where it is not possible to connect to the mains. When I just play video (XDCAM HD 422 1080i/50) the Energy pane of System Monitor shows high indicator of energy usage - about 200 points. As a result, the laptop is very warm and quickly discharged. But when I do the same in Adobe Premiere Pro, energy usage get just about 50 points. Is there any way to reduse energy usage of Avid?

Re: High energy usage of Avid

No, it has not. The only setting that affects energy usage is "Video Memory" When I set it on max, the Energy pane of System Monitor drops to 150-160 points. When I set it on min, the Energy pane rises to 240-250 points.

    Is it normal?
