    Un-installing Media Composer First

I'm trying to install 8.9.4 on OS 10.12.6 and I keep getting the warning: "Media Composer can't be installed on this disk. Media Composer First detected. Installation of Media Composer and Media Composer First is not allowed. Please uninstall, Media Composer First."

I've uninstalled EVERYTHING Avid, but still keep getting this warning. I've restarted after deleting everything, but still the same warning.

Hi laSallebarnes and welcome to the forums. How did You uninstall MCF? You have to accomplish that using the installer, rather than trashing everything Avid related, or there will be leftovers more or less hidden. If You already went the Finder way, please reinstall MCF, and then properly uninstall.
