    Large Capacity SSD storage

So large capacity SSD storage seems to be affordable now (e.g. 4TB Samsung 860 EVO for £ 800) and I'm thinking of replacing my RAID setup, but I am hesitating slightly:

Are there any potential downsides or other factors to look out for?

Why would you prefer conventional HD setups? (cost factors excepted)

    Thanks

SSDs are great but when they fail you get no warning they just stop.

with HDDs you can create a RAID 10 or similar and build in redundancy and know of an issue and take action.

I guess it depends on what you are using it for and if mission critical one copy only media will live on it.
