MC support for Win7 life expectancy ?

Sorry if this has been asked (answered) before...is it reasonable to assume that MC will continue to be actively developed/tested on Win 7 until Win 7 reaches EOL (Jan 2020) ?

Not sure you will get any definitive answer (as its probably an eveloving situation)

But personally I'd not hang onto an OS till the end of its life. MC works better under windows 10 in my expereince and even the bigger facilities are alreadymoving over to Windows 10 successfully. Its a relatively mature OS now and the enhancements are useful.

Some folks get put off by some of the "relatively" intrusive aspects of Win 10. It is, however, possible to slim down the OS to reduce the services push that can annoy some.

I think a lot of people THINK they stick with old software for stability and lots of other reasons but in reality they are not that technically savvy and are afraid of upgrading.

I think MC 2018.8 is great on win 10, and it gets old reading about people's ama issues when they're using archaic software.

You can disable all windows updates and windows background services quite easily if you know how to.  Stopupdates10 will pretty much disable Windows from using the internet for updates and background crap.  I even have to disable it if I want to install net framework 3.5 (to install plural eyes 2.0) because windows needs the internet for that.

I am very happy to hear adobe will stop supporting windows 7, an os that was released in 2009
