Avid MC with built in Intel HD 630 vs Nvidia P600

    Hi

Have a project where our workstations are a little bit slow....they have only Intel HD 630 built in.

Will performance be much better if I put in Nvida P600 cards?

(multicam sequenses, Boris FX effects, many layers of video, audio)

The graphics card (GPU acceleration) isn't a big performance impact in MC. How much RAM do you have in the systems?

SSD boot drive? and what processors and clock speed?

Heres a comparison between the cards:

The P600 is about 2.5 X faster so it certainly won't hurt. your specs look good. More RAM wouldn't hurt (I'd try 48GB or 64 GB) especially on large complex projects with long sequences.

Also is just offline or online as well and whats the editshare connectivity? Tried it with local storage?
