Update From 2 TB HD to 2 TB SSD

I am going to update, as the title of this post states from my HD to an SSD.  My question is, will this change my system ID, and do I have to deactivate licenses to do it.  I am going to clone the drive using Acronis 2018.  Then remove the old HD and leave the SSD as my boot drive.  Any hazards in doing this?

It should be safe to do it but I'd deactivate first to be sure.

How old is your current OS? Its a useful oppertunity to do a Fresh OS install and re-install all the needed apps.

    Hi Pat,

The current OS is Win 10 pro v1803, which I believe is the latest.  Thanks for the tip on deactivation.  I will do that for sure.

    FWIW

The dirve cloning via Acronis was very simple, although it took almost 3.5 hours to complete the almost 800 gigs of data.  I had to go to my bios settings to get the SSD to consistently boot on restart.  Everything is working very well.
