    continued issues

I finally installed the correct version of Avid onto my laptop, only to encounter more issues.

I'm trying to import files from my harddrive onto the version of Avid I have. Whenever I do anything, this message appears:

"File couldn't be loaded into source monitor."

The files I have should be compatible with the version of Avid I downloaded. What issue is Avid encountering that it can't let me open my files? Is there any way I can fix this?

We're going to need a lot more info in order to help. Is this on a Mac or PC? What are the details about the system (OS, CPU, memory, video card, video card driver version)? From the other messages you posted, you're using MC 8.9.3. What's the format for the media files (e.g. MP4, AVCHD, some camera's version of raw, etc.)?

What are the exact steps you're doing when you try to import a file?
