Can't work with that version. When zooming timeline, it's dissapearing and appears a message.
Exception: CORE_SEGMENT_NOT_FOUND, classname:TLtrack, methodName:DrawSegDupZones
And it's depends from the height of video track. With narrow tracks everything is fine but with thick ones appears that bug.
Very glitchy so far, to the point of being unworkable.
I updated to 2018.7 and OS 10.13.5 last night. This morning, when I try to play in the source window my whole computer freezes for about 10 or 12 seconds. Background music stops, mouse freezes...then everything comes back. It happens irregularly, but frequently. No crashes yet -- but very very slow going. Grateful I don't have a deadline today.
messyjesse,
What kind of Mac are you using?
Same here. My CPU usage goes to max after 10 seconds or so and then avid starts dropping frames. Never had a problem before. Using an iMac.
2017 iMac, 4.2 GHz i7, 32 GB ram
AVID, could you tell me where to download an older version please. I can't edit with this one.
Old versions are in the Avid Download Center under Media Composer.
I found 2018.5 here:

Downgraded and everything is back to normal. Phew.
Me too. Downgraded, everything working fine.
I imagine the issue has something to do with the new live timeline features.
