    What OS?

This is weird....   so you see the green dot showing that FrameFlex is in action and correctly sets the aspect ratio on the clip in the sequence?

What happens if you update the sequence by right-clicking on the sequence, then selecting Refresh Sequence -> Aspect Ratio and Reformatting Options?

    Hi Marianna

I've the same issue here. Just tested 2018.5 on OS X 10.12.6 and 10.13.4.

Frame Flex Letterbox/Pillarbox setting on AMA Links, Masterclips or Subclips does not apply in source settings window, source nor at record monitor. The grid looks correctly but no black bars are shown. Scale, Center & Crop seems to work.

Issue exists on existing projects or newley created ones. Also creaed a new user settings, it doesn't help.

Source Setting Frame Flex is applied to clip in timeline and effect symbol showed correctly (green dot).
Changing in effect editor does also not as well as refresh sequence does not help, bars are not shown at all.

    Best,
    Norbert

Great! Thanks a lot for your fast reply. Hope 2018.6 will be released soon since we are setting up all editing workstations at our school in the next few days.

    Re: frame flex problem MC2018-5

Has this been solved in Version 8? I have UHD and 4K footage that I have AMA'd in a 4K flat project and we are delivering in 1.85 and some of the footage looks stretched Vertically at points and some Horizontally, as if the frame flex isn't working right.
