CRASH on start up Media Composer 2018.5

I uninstalled the old software.  Then did a fresh install of Media Composer 2018.5.  I open a brand new project and it gets stuck on (screen freezes):  LOADING "COLOR CORRECTION PRESETS".  Not sure what to do.  Force Quit says:  NOT RESPONDING.

    Hi Jason,

Can you open previously created projects, or do you get the same issue with them too?

If it's the same with old Projects, check that the Colour Correction Presets file is actually there and installed OK.

The Colour Correction Presets should be installed in Applications/Avid Media Composer/ Supporting Files/Avid_EffectsPresets/Color Correction Presets.aep

On my system, it has a file size of 68,473 bytes (right-click on the file and Get Info to check).

If it's not right, I'd suggest an uninstall and then reinstall of Media Composer.

If however all seems well, try searching for and trashing MCState, relaunching Media Composer, and then try creating the new Project again.
