Multicam and disk I/O perf: improvement suggestion

Monitoring my computer disk performance while doing a multicam edit, I noticed that the clip currently being selected causes double I/O (for the same stream) on the drive where it resides; indeed, the selected camera causes the corresponding clip to be displayed both in the quad/nine split source monitor and in the record monitor, but I see no reason why this would require the same stream to be read twice ? Hint/question to engineering: isn't there some room for improvement in I/O, by reading the selected cam angle stream only once (and displaying it both in the quad/nine split source monitor and in the record monitor) ?

SSD for editing and the most RAM you can have.

I hope you are not using the MXO for this task.

Yes of course; I'm not complaining, MCam is doing fine on my system (even with MXO2 active !), it's just that I wonder why the double I/O Wink : whatever the I/O and disk subsystem, if you double the I/O for a stream, you reduce the number of clips that can be streamed in parallel from a given disk, right ?
