    Noob asking for help starting new session

    Hello Community,

    FIRST

    I recently updated my ProTools 11 to version 11.3.1 and it won't open a new session. The two prompts I got are as follows:

    1. Could not create the TCE plug-in's factory default file because the plug-in doesn't support the current sample rate.

    2. Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1549 

    Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make it work? I am a complete noob with ProTools. Thank you for your patience.

    SECOND

    I'm trying to transfer ProTools from one desktop Mac to a Macbook Pro laptop. I'm not quite sure if all I need to do is download ProTools to the laptop and I'll be able to use it with the iLok or if I need to deactivate ProTools on my Mac desktop?

    I just imagine the luxury of being able to complete my profile,After more than 18 months nobody at Avid has been able to fix my profile area so that I can change anything.
