New AVID computer hardware setup strategy MAC

Everyone MAC has shown they don't care about AVID BUT I can't convince MAC users to change.

     MAC hardware set up example:

Could I use the new macbook pro's with an external USBC3 external GPU  (quadro) and get the power I need like the trash cans?

Not sure where you are getting that scoop but many of us use Mac ....

    As for the Mac......

There is really only one choice for the MBP – 15” with quad core i7.  The 13” does not have the quad core i7 option.  The 13” is great for travel but it won’t run MC very well!

Also, there are only thunderbolt ports on the MBP (any size).  You have to buy a break out box if you want to add other connectors!

    As for PC......

For thin and light PC laptops – check out the HP Zbook Studio G4 or Dell 5520.  Both are 15” thin and light with full complement of connectors (thunderbolt 3, USB 3.0, RJ-45)

HTH and once you go Mac you never go back.
