Media Composer | First Won't Install

    Hi Everyone,

I have a 2009 Macbook Pro running MacOS 10.11.6 and whenever I try and install Media Composer | First I get a pop up that says "Verifying "Install Media Composer First.pkg"..." and then no progress gets made. I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem?

    Hello iamludy....

Did you create the Master Account and login prior to downloading?

Are you installing the application pkg and when you click on it does it add a Media Composer First icon to the Dock.?

The installation process should also adds an Application Manager icon to the Dock.

Report back and let me know what version of MC First you have?

Re: Media Composer | First Won't Install

    Hi amludy,

In finder, launch /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app. It will prompt you to locate a .pkg file to install. Navigate to the .dmg volume you've mounted, and select the AvidMediaComposerFirst.pkg file.

Installation should proceed normally from there.

However, a 2009 Macbook Pro running MacOS 10.11.6 I don't think this is qualified or tested, I'm checking the matrix for you.

    Thanks,

    RalphC
