Multicam snyc with more then one option to sync

    Hi

I have raw footage of 3 cameras that should be edited as a multicam editing. 2 of the cameras has shared Time code while the third one does not have same Time code.

how to sync the 2 shared time codes I know, my question is if there is a method in which one can add to a synced 2 camera sources a third source and sync it in  matching point way so it will be altogether 3 cameras in the multicam editing.

    Thank you

You can sync cameras, or even better group them, by the inpoint rather than timecode, manually setting it, finding a matching word or action.

Thnk you Luca, that I know I was asking is there is a way to establish two times grouping in one to work with teh time code and the other to add the inpoints for the third camera.

You can save clips from cameras by time code on the Timeline. Put another camera on the sound. Then perform a groupe by In Point. Take a look at the attached videos, where there are very good tutorials for syncing more complex projects, but they work and the subsequent automation is great. For more complex projects, PluralEye is probably more suitable.

    Thank you

As to PluralEye - I have considered using it but it seems that by the specs of the company that it is only compatible with Media composer 8. do you have any knowledge as to its computability with older versions of Media Composer ?

I have an older version of PluralEyes 2, it's a completely external application. The Media Composer exports AAF (media reference only), PluralEye will analyze and create a synchronized version of AAF that will import back to Avid. I do not know how it is now, but it was a trial version of PluralEye with full functionality for 14 days.
