There should be an option to quickly refresh a media asset. For example, I changed an imported JPG. The only way seems to be deleting the media files and re-importing. Refresh would be much more convenient.
Batch import does this.
"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who only consider the price are this man's lawful prey." - John Ruskin (1819-1900)

Thanks.
Actually - not helping. I would have to delete media files first. VERY annoying.

Time for a "Replace Clip" button? by jakeheat
Same request...
Other modern NLEs would just refresh automatically.. As I can see why this wouldn't work with Avid, I suggest a refresh medai source feature.

No, you don't. When it asks do you want to batch only offline media, say no.

Jake's request is not the same. He's asking to replace the clip underlying one or several effects while keeping the effects; that doesn't exist and would be useful.
Your original post asked to refresh an imported jpeg, which is exactly what batch import already does.
Yah, you're right :)
