Hi guys
I'm trying to create an AVI file with a DIVX or XVID codec. This for a portrait size (1080x1920 resolution) Clear Channel advertising display. The advert is edited, but Avid or Squeeze doesn't have those codecs for export.
Has anyone found an easy way of creating such an AVI file that is not standard landscape?
With many thanks.
Chris
There are freeware converters to DivX available, including from divx.com.

I'm thinking of getting the paid version of DivX though not sure if it is worth the cost.
H264 and H265 do a much better job, Divx was an interesting codec... in the early 2000's!
You could do that from something like VirtualDub very easily if you have the codec installed. I'm pretty sure I have also exported xvid straight from the MC timeline, although AVI export from MC still had the turn of the century 2GB file restriction when I did it. You would need to experiment with the export settings etc to get the non standard frame size, that is much more straight forward in VirtualDub, if I remember correctly.
