migrating titles from one computer to another

    Hi

I prepared titles with Title Tool on one computer in a dedicated project.

I copied all the MXF files that were created on that project to another computer and placed it in an empty folder within one of the MXF folders in Avid MediaFiles directory.

I imported to a new bin on the second computer the file msmMMOB.mdb from the directory where the titles were but not like other imports I did for other MXF media, in that case nothing was presented and I did not have the titles presented on the bin.

Could one help me why and or what is the workflow that will enable me to get the titles in the second computer.

    Thank you

    Mikel

Just import the bin w/ the titles into your new project/computer. As long as you have the same fonts loaded on both hosts, your titles shoud rerender just fine.

    Hi Bonang

    thank you for the idea.

Did I understand right that I need not copy the MXF files just the Bin of the titles or should I copy both ?

Just copy the bin and recreate the media as needed in the new project.

Till today (8.9.3) titles are inside My Documents>Avid Projects>Project Folder.

This applies to titles created with MC title tools.

In any case that folder is being copied to a new destination in case of backing up or copying any project.

As Pat told you recreating is easy.
