Hello,
When I check in an AAF into interplay I can view it in Interplay Access. I can also see the associated master clips that are offline (because they have not been uploaded onto the ISIS yet). However, I cannot see them in the MediaCentral web view (which isn't critical but worth noting).
I wish to get those offline master clips and query their metadata. The closest I've come is to use GetSegmentsFromComposition, however I don't get back the metadata that I need.
The workflow we're looking at is to receive an AAF from the client, check it into interplay, determine which MXF media needs to be uploaded to our ISIS, and then upload it. I know that the AAF has metadata within that has references to our database where we'll find the files. I've tried setting the Attributes list but that is returning all the same attributes. Also, setting TopTrackOnly still returns all the tracks as well.
Cheers,
Alex
Hi Alex,
I assume that you're checking in sequence AAF. In this case all referenced masterclips are not visible through MediaCentral or WebServices request by design.
You need to check-in master clip AAFs explicitly to see them in Media Central.
For IPWS you can get segments from compostion to obtain MobIDs then use GetFileDetails request to obtain file mobs for the master clips in question.
Note that after AAF check-in filemobs on foreign storages will be modified as unavailable.
Thanks
Hi Vadym,
Indeed it is a sequence AAF. As soon as I check in the AAF I run GetSegmentsFromComposition and found the AssetDescription URI and SegmentFileMOB. I assume the SegmentFileMOB is what you mean? I tried GetFileDetails using both and both times it returned "The requested object was not found".
When I receive the AAF from our client I check it into Interplay via IPWS. Once I do I can see in Interplay Access the master clips that are offline. When I attempt to GetSegmentsFromComposition I receive a response containing many segments. However there is no information about those segments that tells me anything about the master clips that is useful in determining what source media it's referencing, so I cannot determine if we have the MXF files that need to be transferred to our ISIS or what master clips need to be created. When I attempt to GetFileDetails on the file mobs returned by GetSegmentsFromComposition I get "The requested object was not found" which seems to make sense because it was never added to Interplay.
