    French keyboard (MC 8.9.2 / OSX 10.12.6)

    Hi there,

MC 8.9.2 is unable to see I'm using a French keyboard, just showing the default English US Settings.

Is there a workaround to force MC switching to a French AZERTY Mapping?

    Thanks for your support,
    Julien

Re: French keyboard (MC 8.9.2 / OSX 10.12.6)

I wouldn't call it a bug, it's just the way MC displays the keyboard. Just ignore the fact that it says "English" and map the buttons you want to the keys at their physical positions.

So if you want to change the short cut which is on your A, just drop the new button on the Q in the settings' window because that's the real position of your french A.

(Hope I make sense, but I didn't want to post this in French, not to be rude. But happy to do it - not be rude...!)

Ok, I'm switching from PC to Mac so I was surprised MC didn't behave the same way. It's a bit disturbing anyway because you're missing a key at the end of the jklm line.

Yep there are small differences between the platforms. Yesterday I saw how fast MC launches on a PC and was impressed. And the little detail that it says "Avid Media Composer Nitris" when you have a Nitris connected. Neat.

For the missing key, the `/£, it's on the line above in the settings as US keyboards have one extra key after the $/* since their Enter key is horizontal. By default, it's the key for the Quick Transition (fade).

OK great, I'll test how this key behaves. Thx for your support.
