    What OS are you using?

im on Mac and I've been using Steve Cantor (web is "editdog.com") Meadia manager  based on the mac finder

this is his LA Fcp user group demo on youtube really worth a look, using finder tags and spotlight comments.

The applet on his website no longer works in current Mac OS but it's easy to remake (AppleScript)

Perhaps we could lobby for an update

Kyno (lesspain software) and keyflow pro (Mac App Store) look interesting too

i was in a similar situation doing corporate stuff, went a different route, maybe it applies.

I run only one avid project per customer.

folders for yeras, subfolders for projects.

everything fully searchable, markers & stuff.

Currently building a master bin with collected soundbites for each customer with lots of custom metadata to categorise each clip. can push 10.000 clips in a bin easy.

looked at axle, this was less fuss for me.

you need to ceap your mediafiles cleanly sorted for this.

MC 8.4.4 Cusom bulid Supermicro X9SRL-F, 32 Gig Ram, 3ware 9750 6x6TB Seagate EC Drives, LSI 9207 + LTO-6, Mojo DX, Artist Color, Flanders CM240, GTX 1070... [view my complete system specs]

Hehe, yes, the solution is offen just in front of you.

Avid MC is a perfect MAM for the small business. Why complicate it? :)
