Media Composer on Ultrawide - Composer Window

I have been using an ultrawide monitor (21x9 aspect ratio) for several months now and have had a slight issue that I am getting tired of and want to see if there is a fix. There seems to be an issue witht the sizing of the composer (source/record window) not being able to size up large enough to fill a decent amount of the screen. Measuring across it doesnt take up more than half of the screen 1720 pixels of the 3440 across. It is not a deal breaker as everything still works just fine, the size of the composer just loooks a bit goofy as small as it is.

My system is running windows 10 64 bit, MC 8.8.2, and it is a single 34 inch ultrawide monitor plugged into a GTX 1080 via display port.

Every ohter window (timeline, project, bins etc) are all able to be set to whatever size I wish, just not the composer window. Any help is appreciated

    Thank you

I've included a picture of my screen to illustrate my issue
