Boris RED misbehaving on motion tracking effect

I've been trying to perfect a motion tracking effect, where a piece of 3D text sticks to an object in the footage on V1. Trouble is RED is not behaving. Sometimes I can't adjust the tracking targets; my mouse just won't click on the handles. Sometimes for no reason the preview image goes tiny and sometimes it goes massive and it doesn't matter what magnification setting is set. It is not consistent.

im assuming it is something to do with graphics drivers or open gl but can't pin it down. I have also noticed that if I launch RED in stand alone mode I get an error message about not finding a matrox dll file, although the application continues to open.

    any ideas?

Switching off Open GL might help.

It is usually not a good idea to work with any text in Boris RED with OpenGL on.

You want to uninstall and reinstall Red, this time with the built in Matrox plugin unselected, this was an old feature not longer supported by later Matrox drivers
