Audio Render problem with MC 8.6.1

    (1) After having upgraded from MC 8.6 to 8.6.1 Audio Dissolve cannot be rendered (messgae: No effects found to render). Rendering between In and Out also doesn't work.

    (2) If I add an Audio Dissolve AND a Video Dissolve, Rendering works for Audio and Video, but a messgae says "1 Effect to Render".

    (3) If I want to have only Audio Dissolves, I have to use approach (2) and thereafter to delete the Video  Render.

Does nobody else experience this problem, or am I doing a mistake?

I can confirm this action (or non-action). If in Quick Transition, you can Add and Render but if you try to render an unrendered audio mix, you can't. Tried the render button, 'render at position' and 'render I-O'. Mac 8.6.1. Mac OS 10.11.6 (I know, not qualified!).

That is not a solution (and I said that in my last post). If we want to change the duration or position, we can't render without applying a new effect from scratch. Mind you, why render an audio cross-fade anyway?

    Roland and Roger

Created a case 03008231 - reproduced ... and asked that it be logged as a bug.

I added you both to the case so you each will get emailed by avid on this. I also told them that the "fix" is NOT a si=olution as you indicate Roger. stand your ground.

Re: Audio Render problem with MC 8.6.1

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem here, really a mess. I've got tons of unrendered crossfades and taking the "add and and render" road for every single effect will be much too time-consuming (and annoying, too). I also get an "unavailable effect" on all audio clips. What is it? Am I missing something? Really would appreciate some help on these issues.

    Thx

    Dirk

A further observation: I tried rendering a dissolve on video and matching audio mixes at the same point and even though the dialogue reports '1 Effect to render', all three get rendered.

Re: Audio Render problem with MC 8.6.1

I can also confirm the issue. I get the same message about no audio effect to render. But they will render if a video effect is present.
