Hi,
I have a PC working on Windows 10 Education Edition (i7 6700, Nvidia GTX 970, 16Gb of RAM) and when I install Avid Media Composer (8.5.0.41065) and run it with a trial license, it is running but when I click on open project, it is stopping and after if I click somewhere on the window I have "Avid Editor is not responding".
I use a dual screen (2 x Dell U2414h).
Does someone have any clue of what the problem could be ?
Thank you very much by advance,
Lucile
MC requires Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise. It doesn't get tested on the educational version, and that version may be missing required features. The only way to know if it works is if someone else with that same OS has a working version.

Thanks,
I will wait and see if someone has Education version too. I am trying to update MC but otherwise I will install Windows 7.
Hello Lucile,
Lucile:I have a PC working on Windows 10 Education Edition
Let me check this with our hardware experts. By the way is there a setting when you right click the MC icon on your desktop to run MC in best performance or power saving something like that.
Regards,
Ralph
I would suspect the Nvidia and drivers.
