playback problem after precomputes cleaning and upgrade

I’ve upgraded Media Composer from 8.2 to 8.4.2. Everything was fine, so I’ve cleaned the precompute from my project. Since then, my footage has some problems, but only during playback. It is jumpy, stuttering for jumpy. But when I export the footage, everything is fine and the film it's smooth. I have no idea if the problem was generated after the software upgrade or after the pro compute cleaning process, because I upgraded and cleaned the precompute in sequence, and only after that I noticed the problem. What do you suggest?

Try re-rendering your timeline and see if playback improves.  You probaby deleted all the renders and playback could suffer.  You won't see those issues on exports as all everything needs to be rendered before it can be exported.

Must think of something clever to go here...

The timeline is rendered. I'm experiencing some sort of bug. I have been editing on Avid for 10

years and I have never experienced such a strange behaviour.

What's the format and codec of the affected media?  There was a bug with 6 and 12 core Macs when playing "high resolution" content under Yosemite (OS X 10.10) that recently got fixed.  I wonder if the fix broke something in OS X 10.9?

Can you revert to 8.2 to see if the problem goes away?  If so, it's a more likely to be reproducible which makes escalation easier.

Are you using a third party IO device?  If so,  disconnect it and uninstall the driver and see if playback improves.

    Hope you fix it soon,

No, I'm not using any third party IO device.
I'm experiencing the problem only in one project.
