Hi.
I am running Media Composer 8.4 on my Wiindows 7, HPz800 WorkStation.
Recently i have started to see this icon on Clips on my timeline. it doesnt do anything when i click on it, but it does make me have to render it.
Can anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of it?
Thanks

Adapter Display in Timeline Clips that have source-side color, spatial and motion adapters now have these effects indicated by different icons. Temporal (motion) adapters appear with a T, spatial (FrameFlex) adapters appear with an S, and Color adapters appear with a C. Go to the Timeline fast menu (hamburger menu) to choose which adapters you want to appear in the Timeline.

Tiny hijack on same theme: can anyone confirm that the 'colour levels' selections when exporting remain the same functions as ever but that they have simply changed the terminology in case the old industry standard 'RGB' and '709' levels terminoligy confused anyone? I'm just sensing that my age old workflow of 'export 709 QT REf' which then gets sent to Sorenson with a 'black restore' applied in the compression preset is too crushed now? I dont want it to 'scale' I want it left UNTOUCHED! Same as source...
Avid say:
"All import and export settings for scaling color levels from full range (RGB) to legal range (video) have been updated with more intuitive and consistent terminology. In the Import and Export Settings, the sections are titled Color Levels. The reference to RGB and 601/709, has been refreshed with more task-directed options for scaling of full range and legal range.

1. The terminology was changed but not the backend processing.
2. The timeline indicator refers to Source Settings (LUTs and color space tab)
Thanks Dom - I'll adjust my Sorenson blacks :-)
