matrox mini max and mbox pro

    Hello everyone,

is it possible to run media composer with the matrox mini(video output for the client monitor) and the mbox pro?

How will the setup looks like, so there is no latency?

Re: matrox mini max and mbox pro

I tried the same thing with the HD Omni (big brother to the mbox pro), but it seems the matrox mini either wants it all (audio and video) or none of it, which means running audio through the Omni but no client monitor capabilities.

Matrox may not be the most futureproof way to go. That being said, the matrox mini does work on 8.4.1 running on W10. Until now at least.

"Matrox has informed Avid and their customers that support for Windows 10, OS X El Capitan, and future releases of Avid applications (including Media Composer) is not planned. They have released the following drivers that will be their last update for support with Avid products. Please contact Matrox directly for further details."

Just for the record. I tested a Matrox MXO2 LE on Windows 7 with Media Composer 8.5 and it is not working anymore...

Too bad as I have always been a big fan of Matrox hardware. It was always stable and never had any issues.

As Carl just answered in your duplicate thread it works excellent also for me with MC 8,5 and, in my case Win 10 as OS.

Might be user related , have you updated to the latest Matrox driver .
