    How to import DNxHD mxf?

    MC 7.03

    I have a 1080p25 project and try to import a DNxHD 185 X mxf.

I put it in a numbered mxf folder, started Avid and got error messages: MXF is not op-Atom.

The client exported the file from Premiere as DNxHD 185 X.

I tried to import into a bin - not possible.

    I tried to AMA-link - not possible.

    How do I do this?

How can I check if the file is broken?

Premiere outputs OP-1a mxf files which are not the same as Avid's op-atom mxf files, so dropping them into a numbered folder will not work.

AMA should work.  Sometimes you have to specify the mxf plug-in rather than autodetect.  If that doesn't work, the odds increase it's a broken file.

Now I have a XDCAM HD mxf that could be at least be imported. I couldn´t AMA -Link that either.

Are your AMA drivers up to date and compatible with version 7.03?  (That was my first thought reading this).  You should be able to specify your AMA codec in a dropdown under auto-detect --- but that might be dependent on the drivers you have installed.
