I am having issues with Vertical Lines appearing on Avid Footage.
I discovered the issue while using BCC Chroma key plug-in.
Here are images of the issue i was receiving:
Image with BCC Chroma Plug-in added to clip on Timeline with my (Rough) keyed setting.
Image with BCC Chroma Plug-in added to clip on Timeline with Default setting.
so i thought the problem was Boris, but i exported a JPEG from my Preview monitor in Avid and discovered that the Avid Export was odd aswell.
JPEG Export from Avid - Settings = 1920X1080, Odd (upper Field First), RGB (colour Levels):
I tried other export settings on the same image and they were all exactly the same.
we also tried the same thing on another Avid Suite we have and it is receiving the same issues.
The RAW Camera footage is absolutly fine as we imported it into Adobe After Effect and Adobe Premier and the images are clean.
I also took a still image from sony XDCAM Browser into photoshop and there are no Vertical Lines.
can anyone help me resolve this issue?

I am Running an HP Z800 Workstation - 12GB RAM
Avid Media Composer 8.1
Boris Continium Complete for Avid 8.2
Here are my Avid Project Settings:
We are running into similar issues, but we are only seeing it with the Boris plug-ins. I have contacted Boris and they are researching. Our system specs are hp z800 with 24 gig RAM running MC 7.0.4 and BCC AVX 8.2. Our projects are 1080i using the HDCAM 50 mbps codec.
As a test I brought media in at DNxHD 145 and we did not see any of the artifacts. And we did not see any artificats when using native Avid plug-ins.
My guess is it is some sort of artifact from the HDCAM 50 codec and how Boris renders it. When I hear back from Boris I will let you know what their assesment is.
That is very helpfull.
I will try importing the footage using a different codec.
I hope this will get resolved soon.
Thanks
Maybe trying a different keyer.
1. Your shot using BCC. 2. Mine using Keylight. 3 Mine using PHYX 3D Keyer 4. Mine PHYX Keyer. I have BCC 8.2 in MC but I pull all Keys in shake. I did not tweak the 2 PHYX keys or try it in PxF_Keyer or Primatte.

Isn't HDCam natively 1440x1080? I bet it has something to do with the resizing to 1920.
I have tried importing the footage with several different Import settings today, and nothing changes.
Frustrated!!
Is anyone able to get to the Bottom of this?
i am still having the issue. had to revert to using a different editing program everytime i use Chroma Keying.
Try using the built in Avid keyer Spectramatte. It takes some tweaking but it's a great keyer - better than BCC's IMO. It's based around the old Ultimatte keyer I believe.

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.
