I posted a message yesterday (copied below), about being unable to transcode AMA material shot on a 5D. I'm still having that problem, but in the meantime thought that I would export the clips to a Quicktime file from those AMA clips so that the producer/director can screen it.
I highlight a sequence containing the clips, and Export to Quicktime 486. I have been doing this with the transcoded material and havne't had any problems, so was hoping this would also work.
The process starts fine but then stalls, and I eventually get the message: Exception: Movie export from procedures FAILED!, errcode: 4294965262.
Please help — 5D material has been giving me a great deal of trouble with AMC 8.1.
I cannot transcode AMA linked material shot on 5D Mark III; it takes an inordinate amount of time, then I get the error message, Exception: AMAProducerTask::Execute:AMA Plug-In Unable to Provide Sample.
Very, very shot clips seem to go through, but anything over 20 seconds or so gets stuck for a very long time before the error message appears.
I have uninstalled Perian and removed related files, and uninstalled and reinstalled AMC.
Please help...
5D with 8.0 works great here.
I think you might have a problematic clip somewhere which MC cant handle.
