Hello,
I downloaded the trial version of MC 7 yesterday. Now I am working with it and I am trying to import some music.
When I import mp3-files it says: The file format .mp3 is not supported for import.
I had the same problem with an alpha channel .mov somebody sent me. Would not import either.
I have worked with earlier versions of Avid and that imported these things without a problem. Do I have to change some settings, download codecs or whatever?
Thanks for the help!
Hi Remieo,
What's your Quicktime and Windows version?
We've had some related issues with this, for us it helped to downgrade the Quicktime version.
You can download older versions from the apple website.
What about ama, does that work ?

Hey Pim,
Window 8 on a brand new computer.
Quicktime is the newest version. Which version would you suggest?

The Version Matrix lists what version you need:

"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who only consider the price are this man's lawful prey." - John Ruskin (1819-1900)

The newest / Current version is 7.7.5
I would try 7.7.4 as suggested in the matrix.
For some reason the matrix doesn't always help. So if it doesnt resolve your issue I would suggest to try 7.7.3 or 7.6
Good luck!
