I recently began working on a new project and noticed i had limited space on my hardrive. So i deleted some of the mxf files of the .mov clips i no longer needed in previous projects. I have done this a few other times without trouble.Since doing this however, whenever i attempt to import any files to the same harddrive in a new project it comes up with "Exception:DISK_UNIX_ERROR, errno:24379733, errstr:Unknown error: 24379733, filename:/Volumes/FreeAgent GoFlex Drive/Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1/Creating/creating4". And will not import anything.I have tried changing harddrives but the error continues to come up still. I even tried unistalling/reinstalling the program with no luck. Does anyone know how i can fix this? Or experianced something like it before?Any help would be immensely appreciated.
This error can often be caused by permissions. There is a checkbox in the Finder's Get Info window that says "Ignore ownership of this volume". This should always be checked for external media drives.

Thanks for your feedback Jon. I have made sure this checkbox is ticked, but still the same error.I might make mention however, that i attempted to save the files to the macintosh HD, and it worked, no issues. Only Harddrives have the error coming up.Any other suggestions?
