Avid Media composer 6.5 duplicating a frame on qt import

    Hi everyone,

I'm encountering a really strange bug in Avid 6.5.  I'm exporting a reference qt for a client. Codec is photo jpeg out of a 23.98 project.  When I play it back in qt player everything looks fine.  When reimported into Avid 6 at 20 seconds 20 frames there is a duplicate frame and a frame at the end is getting chopped off. The duplicate frame is happening at the same place every time.

The only work around I've figured out is to export a SAS, convert in mpeg streamclip and force it to be 23.98 (as opposed to letting streamclip read the SAS on its own)

I've tried h264 and Apple Pro Res both straight out of Avid and converting a SAS in streamclip to those codecs.  Only seems to play back correct when I export a SAS and convert in streamclip whilst forcing it to 23.98.

Anyone have any thoughts or encountered this bug.

    Mac specs are:

    OS 10.7.4

    Quad-core intel XEon

    QT player Pro 7.6.6

Thanks so much for any advice or help you have.
