    Import pics problem

    hey nice people

    iam in the midel of editing a movie imported few pics everything ok, now i need to change few

    tryed to import them but they are avilable on the timeline for 00:02 secs

    tryed to import them as PSD staied the same, most of the pics i have imported in the begining of the project and they are fine

     

    any ideas?

    One of the import options is the duration of a still image. So if you change that it should alter the actual amount of runtime content that is created. However as it's a still you can always add it multiple times on the timeline if you need it to play for longer.

    it set for 10 seconds

    but i only get 00:02 i should paste it 20 times and i have about 10 files to do so

    are the file names sequentially? f.e. file1.jpg file2.jpg?

    avid might try to import them as one clip - 2 images will give you clip with a duration of 2 frames.

    to avoid this go to import -> options -> images -> deselect "autodetect sequentially numbered files"

    It may be  faster overall to just reimport the images for a longer duration.  Especially if you're going to make changes or add effects. 

    Remember, a :6o  still image costs exactly the same disk space as a :02 still image, so there is no benefit to limiting yourself.

    thanks, i pasted the pics on a psd file and it worked

    I have the same issue.

    I found out that the pics that comes as 02 secs and not as 30'' or what the user defines

    are more than 72 dpi. Every pic that is 72 dpi or less imports at Symphony fine.
