Anyone else getting a weird anomaly where the bins and progress bars on the Avid start flashing wildly on and off and won't stop unless you restart the software?
It's not the first time it's happened to me.
I've restarted in-between.
I think it's the Avid not liking me clicking somewhere when it's in the middle of doing a process (maybe auto-saving) and I think the redraw gets a bit flustered.
Then teh bins go into this endless loop of flashing.
Fortunately I can still save and quit..but it is impossible to work.
AVID man, AVID fan (since 1993 with version 4.5 - before multiple tracks!)...like to solve my own problems and I try not to bother anyone unless I'm really stumped.
That's not a loop...it's MC relinking AMA files. It's a bug, but it occurs during that process, so you must have some AMA files that it is trying to relink. If you have a lot of them, it will take some time to finish.

hey! Thanks Kevin..
good to know..especially since it's not inherently obvious!
:)
Okay...the spazzing out is rather persistent...it happens after every time I stop playing. I'm thinking this is "Wrong".
The only way to get rid of it it to restart. Then it stops for a day or so.
