Applying a Timewarp to a Matte Key Clip

    Guys,

A friend of mine recently stumbled on a way to easily Timewarp a Matte Key clip, without having to do any workarounds...

    -  Cut a Matte Key clip onto your Timeline
    -  Double-click to open up the clip (DO NOT Step-In)
    -  Apply a Timewarp effect to both the FILL AND THE MATTE
Voilà, you now have a Timewarp applied to a Matte Key!

However, once you load a sequence, if at any point you Step-in to the Matte Key, then this ability becomes 'locked' until you re-load the sequence.

Now, if Avid can make this popular feature request less ‘backdoorsy’ that would be great, as it’s clearly possible to do.

Thanks to Adrien Brooke for finding this, and Michael Graham for telling me! Smile

    +1

(for the moment, trim to fill seems to me more easy than timewarp : just trim left or right to change the speed)

Thank you for this tip, now 7 years old, and still relevant.
