    Exception:PMM_MISMATCH_AUDIO_FORMAT

So I had this happen to me in MC6.  Was working one day, and put the computer to sleep.  This caused ALL of my media to go offline for some reason, all of which is AMA.  When I began the tedious process of re-linking all of the media suddenly something was very wrong.  I started getting this error:  Exception:PMM_MISMATCH_AUDIO_FORMAT.  I found that once I deleted the audio from each sequence that was giving me this error, it went away.  Fancy I don't need the audio as it was just nat sound, but I wonder how screwed I would have been had this not been the case and I needed to resync after that, hours and hours of work indeed.

    My Question:

Does AVID have any idea what this is all about?  Starting to become frustrated with the way AVID handles media, coming from FCP, I'm very competent when it comes to organizing and mangaging my own material and hate that AVID wants to do this on it own, which is why I'm using the AMA format.

    Any idears?

Please don't post in a thread and then create a new thread with the same material.  Once is enough, and it will make it harder for people to help you.

I respponded to your original post in the other thread...
