Hi all,
just to let you know, Today I wanted to link to MOV h264 files that I recorded with my Canon EOS 550D (Rebel T2i).When I 'linked to AMA files' I first got an ACCESS VIOLATION message (see pic below)But after clicking ok the file was linked ok. Problem was that with every file it linked, I had to click OK after the Access Violation Message.I went to investigate the error log, that came with the error message and this is what it said:________ Exception Report ________________________Exception Code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATIONFault Module: 01:0000947A C:\Program Files\Avid\AVX2_Plug-ins\AMA\MVP_MSP_ARRI_MXF(x64).avxFault Address: 0000000049B5A47A Symbol not found
Apparently it was a problem with the ARRI AMA plug-inSo I uninstalled the ARRI AMA plug-in, restard MC6.And after trying to AMA link again to the same MOV files from my Canon, there we no more Access Violation error messages.Anyone else seeing this? And no, I don't use the ARRI AMA plug-in, so I will keep it uninstalled.I had it installed, cause I like to have all AMA plug-ins on my machine, you never know.I had the plug-in from the ARRI web: http://www.arri.de/camera/digital_cameras/downloads.html

BTW, it's kind of funny/eerie, our posts look almost identical.

That IS funny, I didn't even look for a similar post.I think we have the same 'style' of documenting our 'bug' findings...Will confirm on your original post.
I've had the same error message, uninstalled the ARRI AMA plug-in and it's gone, so thanks for posting!
The only issue that still remains is that, when linking to long QT Apple Pro Res files (around 25 minutes long), the audio is out of sync by more that a minute. On short clips, everything is fine. Will test this on a MAc too and see what happens.
Would it be possilbe to get some official word on the status of this bug? It's been consistently replicated by multiple users. Thanks.
Given that this happens with the Arri AMA code which they have supplied, it might be better to contact them first.
