Here's the thing. I consolidated media from our server to a HDD. I deconnected my HDD and reconnected it to my portable MC5.5.3, captured new media, did some editing.

When i was back to the plant, i opened a daily project from our server, plugged back my HDD, opened up the bin that was in my HDD project and some of the ingested media was offline and i was unable to retreive the media even if:

1- the media was residing on my HDD (could see the files it into the MXF-1 folder)

2- the media was in the right resolution

Here we use two systems.  We use the NC 9.5.3 editor and those edit suites are connected to a server that uses Interplay 2.4 software. Our stand alones that we use on the field are MC 5.5.3.

Can somebody as a idea how to relink to media from a HHD thru a editor that is connected on a server?

You may need to go into the Service Configuration and manually list the external HDD's Avid MediaFiles folder in the Media Indexer Service.
