Just wondering if anyone is using PT 10 and feels it's a good upgrage? And are you running it on the same system as MC?
Thanks!

I'm running PT10 on my Avid machine, and for the most part I am loving it. The new clip-based gain puts it right where everybody else has been for a decade -- LOL. But seriously, it's pretty great. However, there's a show-stopper bug in PT10 that Avid's aware of, but so far no fix:

Long story short, at random PT will stop playing audio from tracks and AUXs. No rhyme or reason. You'll still be seeing the meters move, just no sound. At first people thought they were going crazy, but as you can see from the supplied link, they're not crazy. The moderators even made the topic a sticky.
Supposedly, a fix is in the works, but d*mn, man, it can't get here fast enough.
If you do a PT restart before any final print to disk operations you'll be fine. The bug seems to be related to adding new tracks to your project.
Other than that, the new features, and the speed make it a very worthy upgrade.

Thank you very much. :)
BTW, did you install on the same system or use a separate system? After reading the Readme for co-intall I'm hesitant to install MC and PT on the system. I'm thinking about dual booting.
