Before I found the reference from BarkinMadd I updated QuickTime to 7.7 but still have these errors.
UPDATE: 01/21/2011, still having this issue. Tried the sample "Boston" project and a couple smaller projects of my own and they seem to work OK. This large project gets an error as soon it completes opening. Getting ready to upsize media drives (currently four 1TB drives in 2TB stripped/mirrored array) with about 2TB of media in a little over 1500 files in the \1 folder. Will probably also rebuild the system drive to get a clean install of OS and MC6. As others have noted I am thrilled with MC6 (64 bit, extras at no cost, AMA/AVCHD [now that I have new HD cameras]), and the great community of users. All I have to do now is win the lottery so I can quit my job and spend all day learning how to really use MC6! Thanks, Al.
I tried searching all over the Avid site for any reference to this error but have not found anything. I thought it was a QuickTime error until I stumbled on an item by BarkinMadd stating that: "MC utilizes a UI developers kit called QT (not quicktime ;-). "
Earlier this past week I was using AMA linked AVCHD clips and completed the edits no problems. I could see a bit of lag from connecting over the server, etc.during edit and review but nothing major.
The project is abut 90 minutes long and took a while to export to Quicktime and everyting worked but no sound. Tried again with differnt settings using Sorrenson and not with same results (yes I did have the Audio tracks selecte and included in the export processing). Gave up and used the program that came with the camera to create a quick mashup to put on dvd.
Today when I went back to work on smaller portions in the hope I could get good exports I received this when I opened MC6. Retry - no good, results in the close now or look online for a solution and close anyway popup. Ignore seems to work fine until you try doing almost anything then you get the second, third or forth error message.

One item I am getting, is that during the import of the DVD producer aeo's I get an error. It is like the metasync is missing. How do I get the AEO's imported without metasync?

AEO?!? After effects output? Anti extraterrestrial operation? An extraordinary outcome? Could You be less cryptic?

And what specific error message are you getting? You circumstances and question are far too vague right now for us to help you. Please walk through your workflow step by step.

Can't save User setting and can't load Italian Keyboard....
SW: MC 6 on Seven professional 64 - Liquid 7.2 on Xp Sp3
HW: Asus P6t Cpu Intel i7 930 Ram DDR3 Kingston (4gb x3) Vga Quadro Fx 1800 Audio Creative SB audigy

The foreign keyboard thing is a known bug and You'll have to wait for a fix from Avid, don't know if the saving settings issue is related, I'm not seeing it here, but I'm on an Avid US keyboard.
Mentioned elsewhere in these forums, but now reported here in the 'Bug List' ...
Mouse-wheel+CTRL no longer shuttles along the timeline as it has in previous versions of MC.
Also, mousewheel (+CTRL) no longer seems to adjust a selected parameter in the effects editor.
These may be related to the inabilty to assign mouse buittons in MC6 - reported earlier in this thread.

Sorry Luca, this is the avid aeo's or the avid_dvd_producer.aeo. I am having trouble importing them into a project I am working on. Keeps stating that the metasync is missing. If I go to the metasync manager it states that it is unable to find metasync manager. Also I am trying to get my mojo hardware hooked up to it also.
When applying Fade effect on main composition window, GUI Crashes and have to restart the program.

I am sorry Jim, obviously I'm missing something, as I still can't figure out what Your issue is, either I'm not familiar with Your workflow or I'm getting older and thicker... my apologies.
On a different note: anyone noticed that when loading the clipboard content in the source monitor the video track is disabled and You get a black monitor unless You manually activate the video track? Audio tracks stay on, I'm loading the content via the "Clipboard Contents" button mapped on a button under the source monitor, but it happens with CTRL-ALT-C too; pretty annoying.
when stepping into a collapsed track I can not select the individual tracks (V1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc) with the monitor nor isolate the tracks with the monitor so I can't see what's going on with the individual collapsed video tracks.
I have all the same issues as well as not being able to batch import offline media
Hi.
1. And I notice funny bug. Try record from HDV camera via firewire and look, in Full Screen Mode, on second monitor. What happend? On second screen, recording picture during record to MC6, picture is so small like inch for inch in left near corner. During playback everythink back to normal.
2. Selecting 16x9 and 4x3 aspect ratio (with Decklink extreme 3d+) of timeline view lives like it want not I, or is inactive. Standard effinition of course. Maybe I am wrong somethink doing? Who knows?

audio mixdown leaves out parts of tracks. very random. vo or sfx or music will just drop out for a few seconds and then pop back in. very strange.
Colour Correction screen update issue
I have noticed that if you spend lots of time in the colour correction mode than after a while the screen does not update in response to parameter changes. In particular if the RGB parade is shown on the right hand side monitor, the changing curves does not change the RGB waveform display - however it does change the displayed image. This failure to update is not corrected until MC is shut down and restarted.
Also, after being in the CC mode for a while, the icon indicating that the colour correction effect has been applied is not always placed on the clip when you move on to a different clip.
