I apologize, i can't seem to find this answer after a bit of searching.
I've made 3 titles that are sitting 1 then 2 then 3 on V2 on top of a video layer on V1.
What i want to do (as i would in Premiere) is to collapse the three titles into a nest, scale them as a group so as they dissolve they still scale up, without affecting the v1 video layer.
I'm missing sometihng on this and would SO appreciate any guidance!
Not so easy in MC, as you've discovered! Any attempt to nest a 3D Warp or a PIP onto the 3 titles to scale them will pick up the composite of them and the background layer.
Are these made in Title Tool/Marquee or New Blue? If Title Tool/Marquee, you have Scaling and Position controls that can be keyframed to do the job. If New Blue, you'll have to investigate doing the keyframing in its own UI instead.
No :) doens't seem to be!
The three titles were made in Title Tool, and at the moment are sitting consecutively in the nest.
Cheers mate!

Here's how I'd do it:
1. Put the first title on V2 for the duration you want all 3 to cover. Keyframe it to do the scale/position changes you want to see overall.
2. Copy this title to V3 (Alt-drag it up), placing it exactly above the title on V2. Edit its content (right-click it and 'Add/Edit Title') to be the content you want for your second title.
3. Copy this one to V4 and edit it to be your third title.
You should now have 3 titles moving identically, on top of each other.
4. Keyframe the Foreground Level of the titles to fade in and out as necessary to get them to crossfade. Obviously, Title 1 starts at F/G level 100, Titles 2 and 3 start at F/G level 0. Title 1 's F/G level is then keyframed down to 0 and Title 2's up to 100 at the first crossover point, and then similarly from title 2 to 3.
Messy, but do-able!
