Hello, I am receiving the following error message upon start up of Media Composer 8.8.3..
"Exception: VolListElement::ISVolWriteable() Bad Path Terminator"
Once the error message appears, it prevents me from loading a project or shutting down the software. I've searched the forums and no solution worked for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is this a new install that has never worked, or is it a system that was working and the error is new?
It would help to know more about the system you're working on. Which version of Media Composer are you running? Which specific OS? What processor? What video card? How much RAM? Where is your media stored?
If you edit your user profile, you can add this information so you don't have to type it all the time. (Look at the bottom of this post for an example.)

This isn't a case of installing new software. I have used this version of MC for a couple months, with no issuese. But this particular error message just occured today for the first time.
I have my media stored on an internal 1TB video drive.
Hi mefisher and welcome to the forums. Did Windows 10 automagically updated itself to the whatever is called april major revision?
peace luca
Windows does automatic updates on my system, so I cannot say when the OS was updated, I can however say that I am running the following...
Edition: Windows 10 Pro
Version: 1709
OS Build: 16299.431
No You're not on the latest update (1734.48), but still I'd check the Windows update history, in the Windows Settings (start menu), Update & security, keeping an eye on recent video driver updates.
