Good morning! I have read everything google has to offer. I have been up all night and I'm running out of ideas and steam. I have a client vieiwng in an hour or so and Im trying not to panic.
This is all P2, GH4, and Gopro footage AMA linked and transcoded at DNX220 onto a Facilis Terrablock24 server.
I've tried Avid 8,8.2,8.4 and Windows and Mac.
Even without color correction (Symphony, Nitirs DX, Avid 8.4.2) I cannot get the timline to play. This is episode 2 and 3 but 1 worked flawlessly. We are just doing the online so the we receive AvidMeda Files (folder) and Avid project folder.
The project works fine off of a external drive (Gtech 8TB raid via usb 800...macpro doesn't have usb3) so the tech is going to prepare the viewing using the raw drive...which makes me nervous.
In the meantime, I've tried everything else. Killing the hardware, killing ALL settings, updating avid, downgrading avid, updating plugins, downgrading plugs ins, reinstalling avid, trying different systems, different hardware (nitris, blackmagic, mojo, none). I've seen a lot of errors in my days but nothing quite as resistant as this one. I've rebuilt databases on the server, I've completely rebuilt the project using on the bins from the client instead of their project, i've remade user settings.
Here's the consistent error I get at any given time. It's random, it doesnt happen on any certain clip
SWDC_CodecInterface_Task::Execute()
CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE !?! : [<idNum>]
I also cannot export or import anything...which means I can't export video for the audio mix which is being reviewd this afternoon.
My first hunch was corrupt database, or clip(s) or timeline. I have tried everything besides getting the client to resend me everything which I might end up doing. The project is working fine on their end, I was troubleshooting with the editor last night for a few hours.
I would GREATLY appreciate any help what so ever.
Thanks!

It's might be too late but:

Given what you've said:

It may not be random. It's just that you have trouble in multiple spots in your timeline.
Try this:
1. Open Console (Mac - [Command] + 6), and keep it open.
2. Play your timeline from the beginning.
3. When the first CORE CONSISTENCY CHECK appears, click OK, then look at Console. It'll probably tell you a certain MXF's no good.
4. Copy and paste the path to the MXF in Finder, then use something like VLC or MXF4Mac Player to see what it is.
It's either a corrupt clip or corrupt effect.

I've seen this happen when people don't AMA and transcode. That is, some stuff's imported directly, while others were AMA'd and transcoded. If that's true, the direct import's will probably give you headaches 'til the end.
Sidebar: I don't know why Media Composer allows you to import certain media directly. I heard it was for backwards compatibility. Just because you can, doesn't you mean you should.
