Hello All,
Is there a way to relink consolidated P2 masterclips to the original P2 media in an interplay environment?
We are working in an interplay environment and attempting the following workflow:
- Attach P2 media and import to MC through AMA or "Import P2 Media"
- Consolidate to ISIS drive and edit from the consolidated clips
- In some cases there is a need to delete the media from the ISIS/Interplay and some time later bring it back online.
I was not able to relink the consolidated masterclips to the original media. Even reconsolidating the media to the ISIS/Interplay did not solve the problem.
Has anyone found a workflow that can do this?
We are using Interplay 2.2 with MC 5.0.3/NC 9.0.3
Have you tried enabeling dynamic relink? That seemed to work when I tried something similar a while back in MC3.5 with Interplay 1.4. I had AMA enabled too but I'm not sure that is nessasary.

Thanks Kare, this seems to have done the trick.
After enabling dynamic relink in MC settings and re-consolidating the relink works.
You should have a look at the mxfSPEEDRAL F1000 to achieve a similar workflow. With it you can ingest directly to the ISIS drive (no need to consolidate) and start to edit while moving the P2 content. In case you delete the media at the ISIS you can re-ingest the P2 files again either from the P2 card or from a backup server and media will be re-linked with the original one.
Notice also that in case you use interplay the F1000 can also generate a proxy version of the content on-the-fly.
Regards,
Vitor
