The Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference, sponsored by the Michigan Broadcasters Association, is the Midwest's premier broadcasting event. The GLBC took place at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI (March 10-11) and featured more than 90 exhibitors showcasing the latest technology and services.
The Avid booth showcased a complete end-to-end Avid newsroom workflow and included Unity ISIS®, iNEWS® with Deko® Plugin, CaptureManager™, Command, SD and HD ingest and playout, AirSpeed®, Sony XDCAM and Panasonic P2.
Tony Dragan (an Avid Applications Editor), presented a seminar on Avid® Interplay™. Participants learned about Interplay and how it helps broadcasting facilities transition from SD to HD. They also discovered how this scalable solution allows them to use the same collaborative workflow that the large broadcasters use. At the end of the successful seminar, a Pinnacle PCTV HD stick was raffled off.
