Hosted by Flashpoint Academy, Chicago’s first digital media arts college, the MYM event targeted students and local area professionals who wanted to learn how to bring their careers to the next level. Through Tips & Tricks sessions led by Avid, Digidesign and Softimage, students at Flashpoint Academy were given hands-on software training.
Following the Tips & Tricks sessions, a panel of local area professionals discussed today’s digital media industry. The panel agreed the best advice for young professionals getting started in the industry was to get involved with every aspect of the production process rather than one area of expertise.
The evening concluded with a reception and tours of Flashpoint Academy’s new facilities.
